The Mantis Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrator (ACTD) is a British demonstrator programme for Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) technology by BAE Systems. It is a twin-engined turboprop-powered UCAV with a wingspan of approx. 67 ft. (= 20,40 m), a height of 13,45 ft. (4,10 m), and a overall length of 44.62 ft (13,60 m).
Mantis UAS is the world's first unmanned autonomous aircraft and the largest known twin engine UAV to be flown to date. This long range, high endurance system offers an adaptable solution to address Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) requirements. |
